It’s been a big year. Big for travel: 32,691 miles (52,611 kilometers). Big for photography: two gallery shows, a documentary project, lots of valuable criticism. For family: moved my mom (now engaged) into a new house, swept through 30 states plus Alberta on a father-son photographic journey of epic proportions. For business: upgraded my gear and got some commercial work here in the good old USA. All of these things could make a boy tired, no?
I tried to find an image to sum up the last twelve months, one with me in it, maybe where I had captured part of myself that I hadn’t meant to show. I found this, a snapshot taken from a Greyhound bus on the Gulf Coast headed to Mobile to see my dad on November first. A year of gasoline. A year of waiting.
I find myself in New England enjoying a measure of stability. This site will serve both as a record of my work up to this point and as a blog. For now, thanks for stopping by! I’ll try to get a substantial number of posts together before I direct you, friends, back here with the hope that you’ll come often.
Nice to see y’all. Don’t be strangers now.
